Console Dining Table

What is a console dining table? It is a very narrow table that you place against the wall, often for decorative purposes. People use console tables for dark hallways, putting lamps on top. For decoration, people put flowers or a picture on the wall above. But when it comes to console dining tables, you can actually dine on it! In actual fact, you are looking for an expandable console table!

Before you expand, place the narrow side of the table against the wall. Only then, you start expanding the table. This way, you can still dine near the wall with lot of space without having to move the table elsewhere.

Other than flowers and table lamps, you can improvise the decor by putting mirrors on the wall and placing things that you always use when you always go out (keys, deodorant, etc.) on the console table.

How to buy a console dining table? Check its construction. Does it wobble? It should be solid and steady. Console dining tables are narrow and tall. Therefore, they tend to be unstable, due to having a high center of gravity.

How long does it take to unfold and fold the table top? Do not buy console tables that require more than a minute of conversion time, unless you are not hungry!

What if you decide to buy proper dining tables (wider)? Do you throw away your favorite console dining table? Of course not. You can use the console dining table (expandable) for your living room hallways or narrow areas. This way, they serve as extra furniture for your home. Always forget your keys?
