Noguchi Dining Table

The designer of the Noguchi dining table is none other than the American-born Isamu Noguchi. He was an extremely creative sculptor, especially in the abstract art aspect. He first patented the table design back in 50s and the rest is history. Today, we are blessed with his creatively crafted table called the Noguchi dining table.  

Features

The table leg is made from chrome steel wires that are arranged in a round, revolving motion.

Its table base (bottom portion) is made from cast iron.

Usually, the table top finish is either black or white laminate.

Noguchi cyclone dining table

When you talk about the Noguchi dining table, you are talking about the cyclone model. As you can see in the picture, the revolving steel wires make up the cyclone like appearance. Read the above section for its features.

Noguchi table

You should also know about another Noguchi table which has the almost triangular shape for its table top. Note the very modern table leg design! It is also known as the infamous Noguchi coffee table. Everytime you look at it, you can't help but to marvel at the sheer creativity of the table construction.

Its table top is made from tempered glass (4 - 5 times stronger than standard glass) and the table legs are made from hardwood.
